Lunar New Year 2025: Year of the Wood Snake

To celebrate the Year of the Wood Snake, Birmingham Reptiles is offering a series of exciting discounts throughout the month of February.

Are you ready to shed your old skin and move forward into the New Year? As the world enters the Year of the Wood Snake later this month, those born in the Years of the Rat, Monkey, Rooster, Horse, and Dragon can expect good fortune.

We are entering a year of death and rebirth, a time to make responsible decisions to evolve spiritually, moving away from old ways and habits that no longer serve us well. Among all living creatures, the Snake is uniquely equipped, thanks to its magnetic resonance, to perceive the heartbeat of Mother Earth. This is a dynamic year for learning from the past, moving forward with wisdom, awareness, transformation, and compassion.

The Snake represents wisdom, knowledge, intelligence, intuition, and creativity. Snakes are also associated with good luck, prosperity, fertility, and longevity. In some legends, snakes are considered divine messengers and guardians of sacred places. Snakes are also revered for their ability to shed their skin and renew themselves, symbolising transformation and rebirth.

A Year of Opportunity and Recognition:

Expect to bask in the spotlight this year! Your star is shining brightly, attracting attention and opening doors to new opportunities. This is a year for you to shine – your talents and accomplishments will be recognised. However, with this increased visibility comes the need for strong personal boundaries. Maintain your integrity and focus on consistently delivering your best work.

Career Success and Navigating the "Game of Snakes and Ladders":

The Year of the Snake is poised to bring significant career advancements. You may find yourself climbing the ladder of success quickly, but remember to always act with integrity and adhere to legal and ethical guidelines.

Cautionary Notes:

  • Beware of Deception: Be mindful of potential scams and disappointments from certain friends or acquaintances.

  • Maintain Harmony: According to traditional beliefs, you may be deemed to be "offending Tai Sui," the god of the year. To maintain harmony, consider visiting a temple for blessings and protection.

  • Prioritise Self-Care: To minimise the risk of accidents and injuries, particularly during your weaker months (February, May, and November), consider a minor bloodletting ritual, such as a professional teeth cleaning, before the end of April.

Embrace the Wisdom of the Serpent:

The Year of the Snake encourages you to be wise, strategic, and adaptable. Embrace your inner serpent – be graceful, cunning, and always aware of your surroundings. This is a year for you to thrive – seize the opportunities that come your way and make the most of this auspicious time.
